The successful international female leadership program, SERIES' WOMEN, is moving into its next edition. The program, which takes place both online and in various cities across Europe, is aimed at female producers in the European drama series industry who want to advance their careers and projects. With SERIES' WOMEN, the Erich Pommer Institut advocates for more diversity as well as visibility of women* in the audiovisual industry, contributing to a change in existing structures.
The Erich Pommer Institut announces a new application phase for its career enhancement program AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN. This initiative addresses gender disparities in the film and media sectors by empowering and supporting female managers in various roles across the audiovisual value chain.
With workshops focusing on topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, change management, and communication, the female producers will be optimally prepared for future challenges. Additionally, they will receive an up-to-date overview of the European series industry from renowned experts, be paired with a mentor, and be prepared for their next pitching by pitch coaches in one-on-one sessions. Visits to two of the most important series markets in Europe – TV Drama Vision by Göteborg Film Festival and Series Mania Forum – as well as numerous networking opportunities complete the programme.
An important component of the programme is again a workshop on equality and diversity management for the HR managers in the companies of the producers. Thus, SERIES' WOMEN promotes a cultural change directly within the organisations.
From now on, interested women can apply for the new round of SERIES' WOMEN. The application deadline is 18th September 2023. At a free and non-binding online information event on 20th June at 6:00 PM, interested parties will learn everything about the programme's process, receive tips for the application, and an overview of financing options. At the end of the event, there will be time for any open questions. Further online information events will take place over the summer. The programme starts in November 2023 and ends in March 2024. EPI looks forward to supporting a new group of talented female producers on their career path.
We would like to thank our supporter Creative Europe – MEDIA, our event partner Series Mania Forum, and our partners European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE), European Women’s Audiovisual Network (EWA), Göteborg Film Festival, Kulturakademin, and Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF) for their support. Further partners will be confirmed shortly.
